In his role at PXL University of Applied Sciences & Arts located in Hasselt, Belgium Maurits plays a solid role within the Green & Tech expertise centre. He explores emerging technologies such as Augmented and Virtual Reality, Digital Twins, Photogrammetry, along with key facets of the Industrial Metaverse such as blockchain, web 3.0, and a spectrum of internet-centric innovations, using his generative skills. His research aims to not only study these cutting-edge technologies, but also apply them in real-world scenarios.
Maurice contributes to PXL’s digital research platform. He delivers insightful articles and explores innovative methods, all focused on the applicability of the research. His efforts have contributed to the participation of numerous partners from the industry, who provide valuable feedback by applying the research results in various practical contexts. These collaborations facilitates an effective testing environment for the usability of research in a wide range of applications.
