In the field of Media Technology, Maurits focuses on blending the digital with the real, especially in research projects and education. Having a Master of Arts in Media Innovation and diving into everything from Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) to exploring the Industrial Metaverse. At PXL University of Applied Sciences & Arts, Extended Reality (XR) and Digital Twins come into play to work in innovative ways, along with a keen interest in circularity and sustainability.
He is a fit for making industrial processes digital and bring VR and AR into classrooms and environments in a way that makes things more valuable. He also owns Adaptable, where he helps adapt projects to the digital age. He has lectured at the LUCA Hogeschool voor de Kunsten and the Grafisch Lyceum in Utrecht and Rotterdam.
