Last Wednesday 20 November, the webinar ‘AI and Digital Twin opportunities for SMEs in construction, infra and environment’ took place as part of a series of interviews and meetings, from the European Digital Innovation Hub Noordwest: conducted by the Digital Twins lab of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
With the aim of contributing to the ambitions of construction/infra/environmental companies in the Utrecht region together with: Earth Valley, DigiC – Digitalisering in de Circulaire Bouweconomie en Provincie Utrecht.
Maurits explained and demonstrated the application of digital twins for buildings, including the approach of LIDAR scans to turn existing buildings into 3D objects as well. And discussing what this could mean for circular construction. Maurits Hagemans is a researcher at Hogeschool PXL, Centre of Expertise for Construction and Industry, and associated with the Lectorate Process Innovation and Information Systems at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht.
